Who are Your Rocky Guides?
Rocky Guides is a locally owned and operated business run by Brandon and Kerry, Estes Park locals who have been showing people around Rocky Mountain National Park since 2013.
Through the years, we have realized that what we have to offer is a local's view of the Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park area that is educational and founded upon the love and respect we have for nature in general and our back yard in particular.
Sharing our knowledge of the area, whether historical, geological, botanical or cultural is our passion. Come tour in Rocky with us and let us show you the place we love.
After over 30 years of experience hiking, climbing, skiing and biking in Rocky Mountain National Park, Brandon and Kerry know their way around the park as well as being intimately familiar with the natural and local history, geography, flora and fauna, weather and mountain culture that makes Rocky special.
"Nature guiding is not like sight-seeing or the scenery habit. The guide sometimes takes his party to a commanding viewpoint or a beautiful spot. But views are incidental. The aim is to illuminate and reveal the alluring world outdoors by introducing determining influences and the respondent tendencies. A nature guide is an interpreter of geology, botany, zoology, and natural history."
Base Camp Ltd dba Rocky Guides is authorized by the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior, to conduct services in Rocky Mountain National Park. Fees for service are strictly for educational nature experiences and photography instruction, not transportation.
